An article reviewing research into the application of photonics to enhance the performance of photovoltaic devices has been published in SPIE Newsroom. This summarizes our research into microphotonic spectrum-splitting and concentration, and nanophotonic light-trapping.

I will be giving an invited talk at Photonics West 2014, titled “Nanophotonics for light-management in thin-film photovoltaics & optical nanopatterning for their fabrication.”
